Auction for Reading Nation project will be held on June 21 in Dubair

Dubai: Dubai Arabian Horse Stud, a leading stud for pure Arabian horses, has announced that it will put up an Arabian mare for sale at the Reading Nation charity auction at Madinat Jumeirah on June 21.

Reading Nation was launched by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on the first day of Ramadan. It aims to provide five million books to children in refugee camps and underprivileged students in schools across the world.

Next week’s auction will be held to support the drive under the directions of Shaikh Mohammad, who is providing some of the items from his collection.

The auction will also feature De Lamar, a one-year-old mare of pure Arabian breed. De Lamar is the daughter of Fa El Rasheem, a champion winning horse.

Mohammad Al Tawhidi, director general, Dubai Arabian Horse Stud, said: “Our participation in the campaign is inspired by our commitment to enhancing the lives of underprivileged people in the country and the wider region. We are proud to be part of the campaign that will have a positive impact on the lives of tens of thousands of children all over the world and contribute to improving their future and the future of their societies and nations.”
